Well I'm sending this email to get my accounts online access unblocked... Tried doing it on your website but it kept saying I should reach out to the customer service either through a call or an email... I paid off a HELOC mortgage with BSCU in August 2017, as evidenced of a satisfaction of mortgage filed with the county. My account has always had a perfect payment history reported and it was paid in full.

In April, the account was all the sudden being reported as open and delinquent. I filed a dispute with the credit bureau and my account information was restored and report accurately. I went back to my happy life. Fast forward to today, June 2022 and the inaccurate account shows as open and delinquent...AGAIN resulting in a decrease of 202 points to my impeccable credit score.

This company has got to get their reporting practices under control. This is unacceptable.

In drive thru withdrawal of 1500 so after noticing sign I fill out 2 withdraw slips one for 1000 completed then I sent my second transaction slip for 500 shortly after the rep & manager informs me its up to 1000 (thats not mentioned & it also states 3 transactions per vehicle) I was denied my second transaction.. 8:30am Monday morning

BSCU is not an equal opportunity lender. With a credit score of 712, more than $100.000 in the bank, an annual income of more than $82.000. I got turned down for a $230 mortgage. I was willing to put down more than the required down payment. But I got approved so easily with a different mortgage company.

Unhappy with service

I have had an account with Bright Star for 20 plus years, Saturday June 13th I pulled up to the drive thru waited my turn which took aprox 20 minutes , put my member card and cash in the cylinder asked for change , it was Promptly Sent back was told I had to deposit the money then ask for the denominations I wanted , first let me explain I had two 100 dollar bills , I was asking for three fiftys and five tens. To be used in graduation and birthday cards I have never been asked to deposit the cash in order to get change in the past.. I also dont carry deposit slips or check book with me .I frankly think this is ridiculous.. I have other accounts at other banks went to one of them and got service without any problems, makes me rethink banking at Bright Star

On sunday the brightstar atm on stste road 7,fl took my funds that was being deposited to my account, it did not finalise the deposit and never gave me back the funds. I went into the bank location that it happened at on monday morning as they opened, I was 2nd in line to meet with someone. On top of being spoken to by a representative that was rude and not understanding, I was informed by a manager that I would have to wait 3-5 business days to hear from the bank but in most cases the funds would be credited in a day or two. A day or two has passed and no call and the promise made by the manager to expedite the issue was never made, it is just being expedited today now that I have called the 800 number and spoken to a representative. I wasn't even handed a confirmation number or letter when I filed the report for my purpose. I was informed that there is a long list of people waiting ahead of myself and that they wouldnt be able to just pick up my case first, now in my opinion, I do not think this should be stated by a manager to any customer,it is not the customers fault,in any way that a atm takes their funds and it should be an expedited matter, I work very hard for my earnings. I sincerely hope I never have to face this matter again. I just want my funds back into my account.

Exactly what happened to me back in 2012 at the same ATM.You'd think in 8 years they would have modernized or fixed it. Aftewr screaming for a month I got my money back.

Customer service with these people is really bad.

I've been fighting them for splitting an account info apart on my credit record and claiming I owe them money...thats since 2014. Good luck!

Brightstar Credit Union supervisor contacted me the following day after this issue was posted and resolved my problem. The supervisor took the time to listen to my recorded call, when I had called Brightstar earlier and took care of my situation.

Don’t do it!

I opened an acct online. Funded it first with bare minimum. Went in a week later to add more funds to my accounts and presto! My accounts didn’t show up. It read that there were no accounts to show. When I called I was told the accounts are there but now I have to come into the branch to prove that it’s me. Let’s get this straight people.... Assume I had placed a large sum of funds in there on opening, they hide the info and I can’t see my funds because they want to verify me??? I’ve heard of locking an account but completely blocking it from you, I’m sorry. That is not a practice that I agree with. I’m very happy I followed my gut and didn’t make a large deposit. I told them to close it. Yes, I can close the account over the phone but must appear to verify it’s me. Does that make sense?

Many credit union do not have the "best and brightest" when it comes to employees who actually know what they are doing and/or really try to do a good job in assisting members. Glitches happen and especially if something went awry when you opened the account online.

Always best to open accounts in person.

Their request to have you come in to verify your identity is not unreasonable at this point. The fact that something happened to your account doesn't bode well for trust in them for the future, tho.

This experience made me realize about the best and brightest part. I really don’t care that they wanted me to come in.

Glitches I understand which is what I initially thought it was. This was meant to be for savings. Really just more frustrated that they failed to notify me that there was an issue or that my presence was needed.

That’s the issue. Along with blasé attitude.

A check sent to me for $2299.99 for advertising Dasani Water for them. I will do so, but was just leary of the check. Am I dreaming or is it really true. I will be very happy to advertise for them

I was just checking to see if it was legit, before I get my hopes up and lose my my money on a scam. My friend told me that she has not had any trouble with you or your bank. I believe her, but to ease my mind I would like to hear it from you. I'm going to deposit it in a new account from my old account since this is my advertising job.
